At 9 Lounges, we are committed to providing a high-quality learning experience for every student. This Cancellation, Refund & Rescheduling Policy explains the terms applicable to all online and offline courses, workshops, private lessons, and group classes offered through https://9lounges.in.

By enrolling in any course or making a payment, you agree to this policy.

1. Scope

This policy applies to all services offered by 9 Lounges, including but not limited to:

  • Music classes

  • Language courses

  • AI and technology courses

  • Private one-to-one lessons

  • Small group classes

  • Workshops

  • Masterclasses

  • Online and offline educational programs

2. Course Enrollment

Your seat in a course or batch is confirmed only after successful payment of the applicable course fee.

As seats are limited, especially in small-group classes, your enrolment reserves a place that cannot always be offered to another student at short notice.

3. Student Cancellation

Students may cancel their enrolment by contacting 9 Lounges through email or WhatsApp.

Before the Course Begins

If you request cancellation before the course starts, your request will be reviewed according to the time of cancellation, administrative costs already incurred, and any commitments made to instructors.

Approved refunds, if applicable, will be processed after deducting any applicable payment gateway charges, currency conversion charges, bank transfer fees, or other non-refundable processing costs.

After the Course Has Started

Once a course, batch, workshop, or training programme has commenced, course fees are generally non-refundable, as instructor schedules, learning materials, and reserved seats have already been allocated.

4. Private One-to-One Lessons

Students may request to reschedule a private lesson by providing at least 24 hours' advance notice.

Requests received with less than 24 hours' notice may be treated as a missed session.

If a student does not attend a scheduled lesson without prior notice, the session will normally be considered completed, and no refund or replacement class will be provided.

5. Group Classes

Group classes operate on fixed schedules.

If a student misses a scheduled group class:

  • No refund will be provided for the missed session.

  • Make-up classes are not guaranteed.

  • Where available, recorded sessions or learning materials may be shared at the discretion of 9 Lounges.

6. Minimum Batch Requirement

Certain group courses require a minimum number of students before the batch can begin.

If the minimum enrolment is not reached, 9 Lounges may:

  • Postpone the batch until sufficient enrollments are received.

  • Merge students into another suitable batch.

  • Offer an upgraded smaller group with revised pricing (subject to student approval).

  • Offer a credit toward another course.

  • Issue a refund where no suitable alternative is available.

7. Instructor Cancellation

If an instructor is unable to conduct a scheduled class due to illness, travel, technical issues, emergencies, or unforeseen circumstances, 9 Lounges may:

  • Reschedule the class.

  • Arrange a qualified substitute instructor.

  • Extend the course duration where appropriate.

Students will not be charged additional fees for classes rescheduled by 9 Lounges.

8. Technical Issues
Students are responsible for ensuring they have:
  • A stable internet connection.

  • A compatible device.

  • Access to the required online platforms.

Refunds or replacement classes will generally not be provided where a student is unable to attend due to personal internet, device, electricity, or software issues.

Where technical issues arise from 9 Lounges' systems or the instructor's side, reasonable efforts will be made to reschedule the affected class.

9. Refund Processing

Where a refund is approved, it will normally be processed using the original payment method.

Refund processing times may vary depending on the payment provider, bank, or payment gateway.

Payment gateway charges, currency conversion fees, bank transfer fees, and other non-refundable transaction costs may be deducted from the refundable amount where applicable.

10. Promotional Offers and Discounts

Fees paid under promotional campaigns, early-bird offers, scholarships, discounted packages, or special pricing may be subject to different refund conditions as communicated at the time of purchase.

11. Course Transfers

Requests to transfer enrolment to another course or batch will be considered on a case-by-case basis, subject to seat availability and administrative approval.

Additional fees may apply where course pricing differs.

12. Exceptional Circumstances

Requests arising from medical emergencies or other exceptional situations may be reviewed individually.

Supporting documentation may be requested before any exception is granted.

Any decision made by 9 Lounges in such cases shall be final.

13. Policy Updates
9 Lounges reserves the right to modify this Cancellation, Refund & Rescheduling Policy at any time.

Updated versions will be published on our website with a revised Effective Date.
